Cookie Policy

Last updated: 27 March 2026

This policy explains how Studio Tom uses cookies and similar technologies on our website. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site remember your preferences and understand how you use it. We also use local storage, which works similarly but stores data directly in your browser.

How we use cookies

We categorise cookies into three groups:

Strictly necessary

These are essential for the website to function. They include our cookie consent preference (so we remember your choice) and basic security features. These cannot be switched off.

  • st_cc — stores your cookie consent preferences. Duration: 6 months.

Analytics (requires your consent)

These cookies help us understand how visitors interact with our website so we can improve it. They collect anonymised data about page views, traffic sources, and user behaviour.

  • _ga, _gid — Google Analytics 4. Used to distinguish users and track page views. Duration: up to 2 years.
  • ph_* — PostHog. Anonymous product analytics and event tracking. Duration: 1 year.

Marketing (requires your consent)

These cookies are used to deliver relevant advertisements and measure ad campaign performance. We currently use:

  • _gcl_*, _gac_* — Google Ads. Conversion tracking and remarketing. Duration: 90 days.

Local storage

We store an anonymous visitor identifier (st_visitor_id) in your browser's local storage. This is a randomly generated ID that contains no personal information. It helps us understand visitor journeys across sessions. It is not a cookie and is not sent to third parties automatically.

Managing your preferences

When you first visit our site, a cookie banner will appear allowing you to accept or reject non-essential cookies. You can change your preferences at any time by clicking the "Cookie preferences" link in our website footer, or by clearing your browser cookies and revisiting the site.

You can also control cookies through your browser settings:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions

Please note that blocking all cookies may affect how our website functions.

Third-party cookies

Some cookies are set by third-party services that appear on our pages. We do not control these cookies. Please refer to the respective privacy policies of Google and PostHog for more information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this cookie policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
